TSM Psychodrama for Personal Restoration, Renewal & Cultural Connection

“I think it is essential sometimes to retreat, to stop everything that you have been doing, to stop your beliefs and experiences completely, and look at them anew. You would then let fresh air into your mind, wouldn’t you? If you can do so, you would be open to the mysteries of nature and to things that are whispering about us, which you would not otherwise reach.”

J. Krishnamurti

J.L Moreno, the founder of psychodrama, once said to Sigmund Freud: “I start where you leave off. … You analyze their dreams. I give them the courage to dream again. You analyze and tear them apart. I let them act out their conflicting roles and help them to put the parts back together again.”

Moreno crafted the word: “psychodrama” from the Greek, meaning: “the soul in action.” As a tool for healing and personal growth, it provides a vehicle for taking all the thoughts and feelings that careen around inside our minds and hearts and bring them outside, where we can take a look at them from a distance. We can then make choices about how we want to re-organize them, discarding ones that no longer serve, and reinforcing those that help us along our desired path.

Whether you are experienced in this form of personal growth work, or totally new to this modality, if you are ready to explore who you are, where you have been, and where you desire to go in the future, this retreat is for you.

These retreats will combine 30+ hours of personal growth, psychodrama sessions with diverse cultural adventures on the beautiful and mystical island of Bali in Indonesia. Included will be a trip to the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of the ten most photographed sites in the world. Free time for exploration and relaxation is also included. Psychodrama hours may be used toward certification by the American Board of Examiners, the Korean Psychodrama Association, The North American Drama Therapy Association, and Therapeutic Spiral International. (Check with your local certifying board to see if they accept these hours as well.)
